One week complete lockdown announced in Amravati district

A one week full lockdown has been imposed in Amravati district except for Achalpur city in Maharashtra on Sunday. According to Guardian Minister Yashomati Thakur, necessary services will be allowed during this period. In contrast to decreasing corona infections in other parts of the country, cases are increasing in Maharashtra. Earlier on Thursday, 5,427 cases of corona infection were reported in the state. In view of this, a lockdown has been announced in the particularly affected Amravati district on weekends. Shops and other establishments will be closed under this. However, essential services are exempted from this. In addition, schools in Yavatmal district have been closed for 10 days and the gathering of people has been banned.

 

Only 50 people will be allowed to attend the wedding ceremonies. Religious places in the district will remain open, but the protocol related to corona at these places will have to be strictly followed. Researchers have detected two new mutations in Amravati and Yavatmal, which can neutralize antibodies. However, strains from Britain, South Africa or Brazil have not been found in any sample. Corona cases are increasing in many districts of the state as compared to earlier. In many states of the country, the corona virus has started to spread rapidly. The rising daily data of corona infection in Kerala, Maharashtra, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh for the last few days has put the government in concern. Due to these states, for the first time in the last 22 days, about 14 thousand new cases were reported on Saturday and more than 100 people died.

The Union Health Ministry said on Saturday that the maximum number of cases were coming daily in Kerala, since last week more cases have also started in Maharashtra. Similarly, cases have also increased in Chhattisgarh, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh. During the last 24 hours, more than six thousand new cases have been found in Maharashtra and about five thousand in Kerala. During this time 259 cases have been reported in Chhattisgarh, 383 in Punjab and 297 in Madhya Pradesh. New cases have been increasing in Madhya Pradesh since 13 February.
