Telegram rolls out auto delete feature

The Telegram app, which has been rapidly highlighted after the WhatsApp policy contravention, is now continuously bringing new features to compete with WhatsApp. The company has added several advanced features to the new update of the app. This includes auto delete messages, home widgets and adding unlimited members to the group. For all these features, the user has to update their Telegram app.

1. Auto delete message feature

Telegram said that with the help of auto delete feature, at any time, you will be able to completely delete the message for all the members in a conversion. On the platform, users will be able to set a timer of 24 hours or 7 days before sending the message.

How to use

To use this feature, Android users have to select the Clear History option on the top right side of the chat. Then time duration selection has to be done.

At the same time, iOS users have to tap and hold the message, then tap on Select. Now to the left of the top of the chat, tap on the clear chat. After this, you can select Duration by enabling Auto Delete.

 

2. Unlimited Group Members

The app has increased the number of members in the group to 200,000. Now a telegram group can have 200,000 members. With whom you can share messages, photos, videos, stickers.

3. Home Screen Widget

A home screen widget is being created for users to easily access Telegram. In which the chat widget shows the recent chat. While the shortcut widget only shows the name and profile photo.

4. Spam Reporting Made Easy

Telegram will now make it easy for users to report spam and fake people on the messaging platform. The app processes the reports of millions of users every month, so that the platform is not misused. Specific messages can be reported to make it more accurate. The user can also add comments in the report.

5. Group link with limited time

Telegram is working on group links that come with limited time durations. Any invisible link can be converted to a scannable QR code. You can also see which users have come from which link and from where.
