Lockdown extended in Delhi till 3 May

In view of the rising havoc of the corona virus, the ongoing lockdown in the capital Delhi has been extended for a week. The duration of this lockdown will now be till the next Monday i.e. the morning of 3 May. On Sunday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced this. The rate of corona infection in Delhi has reached 36 percent. This is the reason why the government lockdown period was extended by a week.

During the press conference on Sunday, CM Arvind Kejriwal said that we have started a portal which will be updated every two hours by oxygen manufacturers, suppliers and hospitals for better management of oxygen supply. He said that central and state teams are working together. Essential services will continue during lockdown in Delhi. Medical arrangements and food and services will also continue. During this time there will be weddings with the permission of 50 people. Separate passes will be given for all these people.

 

A record 357 corona-infected people died on Saturday. During this period, more than 24,000 new cases were reported. The rate of infected people in Delhi is 32.27 percent. According to the last 24-hour data, the number of active cases in Delhi is approaching one lakh. There are currently 93,080 active cases in the national capital.

More than one lakh people beat Corona in five days

In Delhi, where one lakh cases of corona have been reported in the last five days, on the other hand, the number of those who have been able to beat the infection during this period has reached beyond one lakh. Meanwhile, the government has also stepped up efforts to prevent infection and to treat the infected. More than 55 thousand people are being given vaccine daily by the Delhi government. This is increasing the power of people to fight corona.
