New guidelines issued for Dehradun and Haridwar courts as Corona cases increase

The High Court has issued new guidelines for District Court of Dehradun and Haridwar in view of the second wave of Corona pandemic. According to the guidelines issued by Registrar Dhananjay Chaturvedi on Monday night, there will be no regular work for two weeks in District Courts in District Dehradun and Haridwar. Only important matters will be heard. Sanitization will also be done in this period. Only one third of the employees of the court will be allowed to come on duty during this period.

The District Judges of both the districts have also been requested to ask all the employees above 45 years of age to be vaccinated as per the instructions of the Government of India. Employees over the age of 55 cannot be compelled to appear in court. After consulting the bar association any instructions related to the advocates will be issued. Apart from this, other SOPS issued by the Government of India and the Government of Uttarakhand will be strictly followed for prevention of Covid infection. The District Judge shall immediately inform the concerned Bar Association about these instructions.
