Punjab government imposes statewide night curfew
In view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus, the Punjab Government has taken strict steps. To curb the infection, the Capt. Amarinder Singh led state government has imposed a night curfew across the state till April 30. As per the order issued by the state government, the night curfew will remain in force from 9 pm to 5 am in the entire state of Punjab till April 30.
Chandigarh administration also imposed night curfew
During the night curfew, no political protest-demonstration will also be allowed. Earlier, the Chandigarh administration had decided to impose night curfew from 10 am to 5 am. Night curfew in Chandigarh will be effective from today itself. Earlier the Punjab government had imposed night curfew in only 12 districts till April 10, which has now been extended in the entire state.
25913 active cases of Covid-19 exist in Punjab
Corona virus infection continues to increase in Punjab too, and according to data released by the Health Department on Tuesday, 2924 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the state, while 62 people died due to infection. So far 7216 people have died due to infection in Punjab and there are 25913 active cases of Covid-19 in the state.
Night curfew in Delhi-Gujarat apart from Maharashtra
Earlier, the Delhi government has also decided to impose night curfew in view of the increasing infection of Corona. In Delhi, the night curfew will remain in force from 10 pm to 5 am till 30 April. Apart from this, the Maharashtra government has announced weekend lock down and night curfew. The Gujarat government has announced a night curfew in 20 cities from 8 pm to 6 am till 30 April.
