Tata Motors register 43 percent global growth sales in last quarter of FY 2020-21

Tata Motors has registered a growth of 43 percent in global sales with 3,30,125 vehicles in the last quarter of FY 2020-21, which includes sales of Jaguar Land Rover. Global sales of Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range stood at 1,09,428 units in FY21, up 55 per cent over the same quarter last year. Talking about passenger vehicles, a total of 2,20,697 vehicles were sold in the last quarter of FY 2021, which is 39 percent more than the last quarter of FY 2020. Jaguar Land Rover’s global wholesale sales stood at 1,36,461 units in the last quarter of the last financial year.

Global sales of commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range stood at 1,09,428 units in FY21

Talking about the last quarter, Tata Motors Group’s global sales including Jaguar Land Rover stood at 2,78,915 vehicles, showing a marginal increase of 1 percent over October to December in FY19. However, when compared to the second quarter ended September 2020, Tata has registered a growth of 18.36 percent quarter-on-quarter in the last financial year, when the company’s total wholesale sales were 2,02,873 units.

Tata Motors has registered an overall month-on-month growth of 422 percent in passenger vehicle sales where the company was able to sell 5,676 vehicles in the same month last year as against 29,654 units sold in March 2021. This strong jump in sales is erratic as a nationwide lockdown was imposed in March last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The company has registered a growth of 162 percent in the domestic market with 83,857 vehicles in the last quarter as compared to the same quarter last year. Talking about sales in FY 2021, Tata Motors has registered a growth of 69 percent with 2,22,025 units as against 1,31,196 units sold in FY20.
