Rain alert in Uttarakhand till July 29

A red alert has been issued for five districts of Uttarakhand for 26 and 27 at isolated places. Orange alert has been issued continuously till July 29 in the rest of the districts. The next few days will be crucial for the state.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rain in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Nainital, Pauri, Dehradun districts on Monday. There will be an orange alert of heavy to very heavy rain in the rest of the districts. On 27th, there will be a red alert of extremely heavy rain in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Nainital, Pauri, Dehradun. There will be an orange alert of very heavy rain in other districts. On 28, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain, at some places in Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Pithoragarh. On 29th also there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain and heavy showers in these six districts. According to the Director of the Meteorological Department, Bikram Singh, there may be rock fall, landslides, debris in the roads, water logging in low-lying areas in sensitive areas.
