Landslide damage part of Haldwani-Nainital highway

Due to the continuous rain in the mountain, the landslides have increased. The process of erosion that started with the onset of monsoon has not stopped yet. The continuing rain for the last several days has created havoc everywhere. In which many houses, roads, cattle sheds and farm barns have been damaged. Traffic has come to a standstill on many routes due to falling debris and landslides. Meanwhile, it was reported that due to heavy rains, a large part of the road has been damaged due to landslide on Nainital Haldwani Highway near Don Bosco School. Due to which the movement of big vehicles on the road has been completely stopped. Now all vehicles will have to go to Nainital via Kaladhungi-Nainital route. The difficulties of the people have also increased, because now the highway between Haldwani to Nainital has been completely affected, debris has also come near Veer Bhatti on the Haldwani-

Monsoon rains in Uttarakhand are raining as a disaster, the next 48 hours can be more heavy for the people of the state because the Meteorological Department has issued an alert for the next three days, due to which the common man is not going to get relief. In view of the continuous falling of boulders and debris on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway, the district administration has banned the movement of vehicles from Tapovan to Maletha on Friday. Incessant rains have led to landslides at about a dozen places on the highway. On the other hand, the movement has come to a standstill due to about 35 meters patch washout near Bhannu village on Gangotri Highway. In which heavy debris had fallen on the road and bridge. After which the team of NH personnel continued the work of removing the debris with the help of two Pokeland machines. But due to the continuous falling debris from the hill, the relief work could not go on fast.

In the information given by the media cell of Nainital Police, it has been said that the public is requested not to move their vehicles through the said route till the road is fully opened, as well as cooperate with then police.
