Uttarakhand government increases honorarium of guest teachers

Uttarakhand government has increased the honorarium of guest teachers working in government secondary schools from Rs 15 thousand to Rs 25 thousand. After this decision taken in the first cabinet of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the government has now issued an order in this regard. More than four thousand guest teachers will be benefited by this.

It was decided in the cabinet meeting that the honorarium of guest teachers would be increased to 25 thousand. Whereas on priority basis, they will be deployed in their home districts. Their posts will also not be considered vacant.

In the order issued by Education Secretary Radhika Jha, it has been said that according to the mandate dated November 22, 2018, the honorarium of Rs 15,000 per month was fixed for guest teachers working in government secondary schools. In this regard, after consideration in the government, it has been decided that it will be increased to 25 thousand rupees. It has been approved by the Governor.

A government order should be issued in this regard soon.
