The longest lunar eclipse of the century will take place on November 19, Friday (Karthik Purnima). On this occasion, the Earth will pass between the Sun and the Moon, the eclipse will be at its peak after 1.30 pm.

NASA scientists and astronomers say that the longest lunar eclipse of the century will be three hours 28 minutes and 23 seconds. According to scientists, between 2001 and 2021, such an event will happen for the first time. According to NASA, Earth will witness 228 lunar eclipses in the 21st century. Two and three lunar eclipses can also be seen in a month.
Eclipse will be visible in Assam and Arunachal
According to scientists, the moon will be visible in the same places where it will be above the horizon. People from the northeastern states of India, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh will be able to see this celestial event. Similarly, the people of North America will also witness the longest eclipse of the century. People from Mexico, Australia, East Asia and Northern Europe will also witness the lunar eclipse.
Four eclipses this year
Two lunar eclipses are to occur this year, out of which one lunar eclipse has taken place on May 26. Now this month is the second and last lunar eclipse of the year. There are a total of four eclipses in this year, including two lunar eclipses and two solar eclipses. The last solar eclipse of the year will occur on December 4 next month.
