Corona curfew in Haridwar till May 3
In view of growing corona infection in Uttarakhand, Covid curfew has been imposed in Haridwar too. District magistrate C Ravi Shankar has declared a Covid curfew in urban and some rural areas of the district till May 3 as the final royal bath of Kumbh concluded today.
The curfew will come into force from Tuesday night. Fruit, vegetable, dairy, bakery, meat fish, ration shops, petrol pumps, gas supplies and drug and liquor shops will be open during the curfew. Also, there will be no restriction on the movement of vehicles and operation of factories associated with essential services.
Covid curfew has been imposed in seven cities so far
The state government has so far implemented the Covid curfew in Dehradun, Rishikesh, Pauri, Tehri, Haldwani, Ramnagar, Lalkuan, Tanakpur and Banbasa. Night curfew has also been imposed in Dehradun after seven o’clock in the evening. In these cities only the shops of essential items will open till four in the evening.
