Uttarakhand congress releases list of 10 more candidates; Harish Rawat to contest from Lalkuan instead of Ramnagar

Congress veteran Harish Rawat will no longer contest from Ramnagar. It is being said that due to the opposition, the party has changed Harish Rawat’s ticket from this assembly seat. Late on Wednesday night, the party released the list of 10 candidates for the Uttarakhand assembly elections. Now Harish Rawat has been given ticket from Lalkuan instead of Ramnagar.

Earlier, when Congress had released the list of 11 other candidates for this election, it was told in that list that Harish Rawat would contest the polls from Ramnagar assembly seat. But Ranjit Singh Rawat was already openly contesting this seat, due to which there was a situation of conflict in the party.

Congress wanted to give ticket to Harish Rawat from Ramnagar seat, considered safe seat, while Congress working president Ranjit Singh Rawat did not want to leave the seat and was contesting from Ramnagar itself. On the other hand, Harish Rawat wanted to send Ranjit Singh to the Salt seat. Therefore, in the list released earlier by the Congress, Harish Rawat was given ticket from this seat, but the party workers were continuously opposing it. Now finally in view of the opposition of the party workers, the party has changed the ticket of Harish Rawat on this seat.
