Miscreants attack workers at Rudrapur-Kichha toll plaza
Angry youths injured two toll workers with swords after they demanded toll at the toll plaza located at Chukti Deoria on Rudrapur-Kicha road. The police reached the spot as soon as the information was received. The injured toll worker has given a complaint to the police and demanded action against the accused. Police have registered a case against the accused. However, the police have not revealed the names of the accused in the trial. As per reports, on Monday morning, at around 7:40 am, a Honda City car came in lane number 11 was going towards Kichha. Four youths were in the car.
When the person sitting at the toll, asked for toll from the car passengers. It is alleged that the youths in the car refused to pay toll and started abusing him. After this, the youths in the car started trying to forcibly leave the toll by removing the barricading. Hearing the noise, other toll workers reached the spot to break the heated argument. It is alleged that the youths in the car took out the sword and attacked two toll workers in the process injuring them.
Seeing the youths in the car waving swords, other toll workers also reached the spot and again stopped the car by putting up barricades. After getting the information, police personnel from Lalpur outpost reached the spot. They took the accused youths into custody.
The police have registered a case against the accused after getting the medical of both the toll workers done. However, the police did not reveal the names of the accused. Police said, the names of the accused will be revealed only after investigation. Kotwal Ashok Kumar Singh said that a case has been registered against the accused on the basis of the complaint and medical of the victim.
