Heavy rain alert issued for 3 districts in Uttarakhand

With the increasing activity of monsoon in Uttarakhand, the process of heavy rains has also started. From Kumaon to Garhwal, people struggling with the scorching heat are getting relief due to the rains. From late Monday night to Tuesday, it rained heavily in all the hill districts including the capital Dehradun. According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued in other districts including Pithoragarh, Almora and Nainital for the next 24 hours. In the coming 24 hours, the process of rain in Uttarakhand will continue and the weather will remain cool. In view of the possibility of heavy rain and lightning in most of the districts of Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. Light to moderate rain may occur in Dehradun also in the next 24 hours. In such a situation, people of all districts need to be alert.

Due to the heavy rain in Dehradun on Tuesday, the weather of the capital has completely changed. The residents of Dehradun, who were troubled by the scorching heat till a few days ago, have got relief due to the rains. The temperature has dropped but the problem has also increased due to the rains. Due to the rains, most areas of Dehradun have been waterlogged. There has been heavy waterlogging in most of the areas including Maharaja Agrasen Chowk, Dilaram Chowk, Ghantaghar, Chakrata Road,  Kargi Chowk, ISBT, Dalanwala, Rajpur Road, Nehru Colony, Indira Nagar and water logging at the intersections. Due to this the traffic system has also been effected. On Tuesday, there was a jam in Dehradun for a long time. In Haridwar too, due to the rains, there is waterlogging at many places. Traders say that due to waterlogging, people have to face problems. Due to non-cleaning of drains, rain water has also accumulated outside the shops. On Tuesday, Haridwar recorded a maximum temperature of 31.5 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 23.7 degrees Celsius.
