IMD predicts heatwave in several states

The havoc of heat is increasing in many areas of the country. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted severe heatwave in North-West, Central and West India for the next few days. Meanwhile, light to moderate rain is expected in the northeastern states and there is a possibility of heavy rain in some areas.

Delhi reels under severe heat

Talking about Delhi and NCR, it is getting hot here too. For the second consecutive day, the maximum temperature in many areas of Delhi and NCR has been recorded above 40 degrees. The day’s maximum temperature at Safdarjung in Delhi was recorded at 39.2 degrees Celsius, which was 7 degrees above normal. The hottest day of the season was recorded on Tuesday, March 29.

Heatwave warning

Heatwave to severe heatwave very likely over most parts of West Rajasthan, East Rajasthan and West Madhya Pradesh on March 29 and 30.

There is a possibility of heatwave to severe heatwave in different parts of South Haryana and Delhi on March 29 and 30.

There is a possibility of heat wave in Jammu and Himachal Pradesh on March 29 and 30.

From 29 March to 02 April, there is a possibility of heatwave to severe heatwave in Saurashtra-Kutch, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Central Maharashtra.

A similar situation is expected for South Uttar Pradesh between March 29 and March 31.

From 30 March to 01 April, there is a possibility of heatwave to severe heatwave in Jharkhand and Odisha.
