Regular international flights resumption in India from March 27

The central government has decided to resume international flights after the cases of corona infection in the country are reduced. This service will start from tomorrow i.e. 27th March 2022. However, the rules of Covid prevention will have to be followed.Due to the Corona crisis, international flights were banned for the last two years. After reviewing all aspects, the central government has decided to restore international passenger airlines.

Air bubble system will end

Since July 2020, special international flights are operating between India and 37 countries under the air bubble arrangement. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said that under the new order, the air bubble system will also end.

The central government said that these international flights will operate only under the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for foreign flights.

Guidelines have been issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA):

-Wearing a mask will be mandatory in the airport or on the plane.
-Now the requirement of a complete PPE kit for the crew members has been done away with due to the reduction in corona cases.
-Pat-down searches conducted by security personnel at the airport will be resumed.
-According to the guidelines of Covid-19, the restriction of keeping 3 seats vacant on international flights has been removed.
