Corona cases rise rapidly in Delhi

Corona cases and infection rate are increasing rapidly in the capital Delhi. On April 18, 501 new cases of corona were reported in Delhi, while the corona infection rate has increased to 7.72%. However, no corona patient has died in the last 24 hours.

In the last 24 hours, 290 patients were cured and 6,492 people were tested. At present, there have been a total of 1,729 active cases of corona in Delhi. With this, for the second consecutive day, new corona cases have been registered in Delhi beyond 500. The positivity rate crossed 7 percent on Monday itself.

Highest infection rate after January 28

The corona infection rate in Delhi has gone up to 7.79 percent. This infection rate has been recorded the highest since January 28. On January 28, the infection rate was 8.60 percent.

Apart from this, there are 1,729 active corona patients in the national capital Delhi on Monday, which is the highest since March 1. On March 1, there were 1,769 active patients in the capital.

DDMA meeting to be held on Wednesday

Significantly, in view of the increase in corona cases, a meeting of DDMA is to be held on Wednesday, in which some important decisions will be taken. In such a situation, it is also discussed that some strict steps will be taken regarding wearing of masks because ever since the challan on the mask has ended in Delhi, people are seen to be careless.

In this matter, State Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that a large number of people are vaccinated in Delhi.
