Solar flare from Sun has scientists worried

A tremendous explosion on the sun has increased the concern of scientists. A strong solar storm has been born due to the tremendous explosion on the sun on 3 April. This solar storm with a strong magnetic effect can hit the Earth by today or tomorrow (Thursday), due to which there is a risk of change in the Earth’s atmosphere as well as malfunctioning of all electronic equipment. Especially all the satellites moving in the Earth’s orbit can come to a standstill.

According to the report of Space Weather, there has been an explosion in a very deep valley of fire on the sun, due to which the flames of solar plasma are rapidly coming out and affecting the entire space.

What is plasma?

Just as solid, liquid, and gas are states of matter, plasma is also a state of matter. In this matter, electrons move around the nucleus. The sun is full of plasma.

Scientists have named the point of the sun from where the plasma is coming out, ‘Canyon of Fire’ or ‘Valley of Fire’. According to the report of the Space Weather website, it is at least 20 thousand kilometers deep and 10 times as long.

According to Britain’s weather forecaster Met Office, the Valley of Fire is located in the south central part of the sun. Both satellites and ground telescopes proved successful in capturing the explosions.

Geomagnetic storm may hit the earth

According to scientists, the first explosion on the sun took place on 3 April and the second explosion on 4 April. Their radiation can also reach the earth. If this happens, then on 7th April i.e. Thursday, the geomagnetic storm coming from the sun will affect the earth. This can affect the satellites moving in the lower orbit of the Earth and their connection can be lost. A geomagnetic storm is a disaster that disturbs the Earth’s magnetic field. This affects the energy of the atmosphere around the Earth.
