Electricity demands reaches record levels in Uttarakhand

Electricity demand in Uttarakhand has reached a record level this season. Demand reached 49.43 MU for the first time. To meet this demand, UPCL had to buy 14.67 MU of electricity from the market. A total of 34.76 MU power was available from the state and the center for Tuesday. Which was much less than the demand 49.43 MU.

To meet this shortfall, 14.67 MU of electricity was purchased from Energy Exchange. It is being claimed by UPCL that even after reaching the record level of demand, there will be no power crisis. Adequate power has been mobilized to meet the demand.

Electricity supply on track in Kedarnath

MD UPCL Anil Kumar said that the power supply in Kedarnath Dham has come back on track. The power supply has not been interrupted at all for three days. The team of AE, JE including Nodal Officer, Chief Engineer as well as Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer is constantly monitoring the entire supply system.
