Orange alert in Delhi issued for heatwave

Normal life has been directly affected due to scorching heat and rising temperatures in Delhi. Orange alert has been issued in Delhi, severe heat wave is going on in some parts of Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, UP, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The temperature here remains between 44 to 47 degree Celsius. The India Meteorological Department has told that the weather can remain like this for the coming few days. Senior scientist IMD RK Jenamani said that monsoon is still far away in Delhi. In view of the heat wave in North India, we advise people to step out with caution as the heat is very severe. He said that severe heat wave will continue in North India.

The India Meteorological Department has said that due to the heat in the whole of North India, there is a possibility of dust storm, light drizzle and humidity at some places. RK Jenamani said that there is a possibility of rain in other parts of the country and strong winds may occur at some places.

It will rain in the north eastern areas

RK Jenamani said that in the coming days, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in the north-eastern parts. Alert has been issued in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rain here.

Monsoon not active yet

Jenamani said that at present the monsoon has not started anywhere in the north and we are continuously monitoring it. Monsoon is still far away in the country’s capital Delhi. There is a possibility of strong heat and heat wave for the next 4 days.
