Police nab 3 in Kashipur bank loot case

Within 48 hours, the Kashipur police disclosed the loot of lakhs that took place in the branch of Punjab National Bank ie PNB Bank located on Moradabad Road in Kashipur in broad daylight on June 9. The incident was carried out by three miscreants living in village Kuhadka of district Tarn Taran in Punjab.

SSP Udham Singh Nagar Manjunath TC, who reached Kashipur on Saturday, while disclosing the incident, told reporters that on June 9, at around 2 pm, a young man reached the PNB branch on Moradabad Road in Kashipur and took information about withdrawing cash from the cashier. After some time, at around 3.46 pm, he entered the bank along with two of his associates and robbed the cashier of 15,08,960 rupees from the cashier while threatening to kill the employees present in the bank by showing firearms.

Eight teams were formed for the case

After getting the information, the police all over the district swung into action, along with the intensive checking campaign across the district, eight different police teams were formed for the disclosure of the incident. Starting a thorough investigation, the police started scrutinizing the CCTV footage along with collecting the information. During this, three youths were seen absconding on a motorcycle in the CCTV footage.

Loot money, revolver and two pistols recovered

The miscreants admitted to carrying out the robbery incident in PNB Bank during interrogation. Out of the amount looted in the incident, 14,10,500 rupees and two pistols and a revolver were recovered from them.
