Shardiya Navratri 2022 begins from today

There are many fasts and festivals celebrated in Hinduism. These festivals and fasts have special significance. One of the most important of these is the festival of Navratri. Navratri is a festival associated with Mother Goddess, in which nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped for 9 days. There are four Navratri in a year, out of which Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri have special significance. After Shardiya Navratri, the process of festivals starts. When is Sharadiya Navratri 2022?

According to Hindu belief, the festival of Shardiya Navratri is celebrated from Pratipada Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Ashvin month to Navami Tithi. This year Shardiya Navratri is starting from Monday, 26 September. This nine-day festival will be celebrated till October 4, i.e Tuesday. Shardiya Navratri ends on Navami Tithi, after which the festival of Dussehra is celebrated on the next day i.e. Dashami Tithi. This time Dussehra is on 5th October, 2022.
