Weather expected to change in Uttarakhand from next week
The cold is now starting to show its effect. The temperature is dropping especially in the morning and evening. The mercury has reached below one degree in the mountainous areas.
The weather is expected to remain dry across the state. In the coming three days, the minimum temperature of the state is likely to be around one degree Celsius. The maximum temperature is also likely to remain two to three degrees Celsius.
There is a possibility of partly cloudy sky in the higher Himalayan region after noon. There is a possibility of fog in the morning and evening in the plains and frost in the morning in the mountains.
The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of severe cold from December 15. In the plains, there may be light fog in the morning. In the hilly areas, the sunshine of the day will give relief from the cold.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a low pressure area over the southeast and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal. Which is expected to turn into a cyclone and move in the west and north-west direction.
Light rain and snow may occur in these four states
Between December 9 and 11, light rain and snow may occur at isolated places with fog at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, further drop in temperature can be seen.
