Jasprit Bumrah out of ODI series against Sri Lanka

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will not be a part of Team India in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. He has been ruled out of the home series due to fitness issues.

News agency PTI quoted sources as saying that Bumrah is not fully fit yet. That’s why he will not play ODI series against Sri Lanka. The BCCI has issued a statement saying that Bumrah needs some more time to be fully fit. He has been taken out as a precaution. The selection committee has not announced any name in place of Bumrah.

 

Six days ago, this 29-year-old fast bowler made a comeback in Team India. He got injured during a training session just before the South Africa series in August-September last year. Due to this injury, he had to miss the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup.

Last match was played against Australia

Bumrah played the last match on 25 September 2022. He made a comeback in the home series against Australia. He did not play the first match and after that he was part of the playing-11 in the second and third matches. However, after that he was out again after getting injured.
