Team India wins the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup for the first time

Creating history, the Indian Under-19 women’s team captured the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup trophy for the first time on Sunday. This is a huge achievement for the Indian Under-19 women’s team, because till date India’s senior women’s cricket team has not been able to win any trophy of the World Cup. In the final match of the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup against India, the England team was bundled out for 68 runs in 17.1 overs.

In response, the Indian Under-19 women’s team achieved the target in 14 overs and won the match by 7 wickets. The Indian Under-19 women’s team got a target of just 69 runs to win the World Cup. Archana Devi, Parshvi Chopra and Titas Sadhu took 2 wickets each for India. Mannat Kashyap, Sonam Yadav and Shefali Verma got one wicket each. A batter was run out. For England, Rayna McDonald-Gay scored the maximum 19 and Alexa Stonehouse scored 11 runs.

Spinners Archana Devi and Parshvi Chopra along with fast bowler Titas Sadhu bowled the Indian women’s team for 68 runs in the final of the Under-19 T20 World Cup being played for the first time here on Sunday. Titas Sadhu was the most successful bowler for India. He took two wickets for six runs in four overs. Archana Devi (17 runs in three overs) and Parshvi Chopra (13 runs in four overs) also took two wickets each.
