Youth stage state wide protest against Lathicharge in Dehradun
In protest against the lathi charge in Dehradun, youths took out statewide protests today. From Haldwani to Dehradun there were protests against the administration by the angered youth. Seeing the anger of the youth, the District Magistrate reached for talks.
The unemployed youth started raising slogans against the government while sitting on a protest outside the Collectorate. On the other hand, the protesters shut shops the market in Uttarkashi. In view of the possibility of uproar, the police is on alert mode.
In protest against the lathicharge on youth in Dehradun, a procession was taken out in Kotdwar on behalf of many organizations including NSUI UKD Congress.
Congress workers in New Tehri also raised slogans against the government and demanded a CBI inquiry into the paper scams.
Additional Chief Secretary held talks with the youth representatives
Members of the Uttarakhand unemployed union held talks with Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi at the secretariat on Friday. The members of the unemployed union apprised the Additional Chief Secretary about their issues. On which the Additional Chief Secretary said that the Chief Minister would be informed about the issues raised by the union. She said that the youth should keep their point in a peaceful manner.
Additional Chief Secretary said that the aim of the state government is to conduct recruitment examinations in a very fair and transparent manner. For this purpose, the country’s strictest anti-copying law has been brought in Uttarakhand. Approval has been granted by the Hon’ble Chief Minister for the promulgation of the Uttarakhand Competitive Examination (Measures for Prevention and Redressal of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Ordinance-2023. The purpose of enacting such a strict law is that the youth of the state have a bright future.
