Deepika Padukone to present at Oscars 2023

Another achievement has come in the account of Deepika Padukone. Deepika will present the Oscar Awards this time. This information has been shared by Deepika herself. This will be the third time when an Indian will present the Oscar Awards. Prior to this, Priyanka Chopra in 2016 and former Miss India Persis Khambatta in 1980 have joined the Oscar Awards as presenters.

The Oscar Awards 2023 will be given in the US on the night of March 12. According to Indian time, the award ceremony will start at 5.30 am on March 13.

There will be 16 presenters including Deepika at the Oscars

Deepika has shared a list on her Instagram with the hashtag Oscars 2023, which includes the names of all the presenters along with her. Apart from Deepika, the function will be presented by Riz Ahmed, Emily Blunt, Glenn Close, Jennifer Connelly, Ariana DeBose, Samuel L Jackson, Dwayne Johnson, Michael B Jordan, Troy Kotsur, Jonathan Majors, Melissa McCarthy, Janelle Monae, Questlove, Zoe Saldana and Donnie Yen.

Deepika Padukone had unveiled the FIFA World Cup trophy last year. She was the first Indian to do so. At the same time, she was also included as a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival.

India’s three hopes from Oscars 2023

This time the Oscar Awards are going to be special in many ways. India has got three nominations this time. The song Naatu Naatu from the film RRR has been nominated in the Best Original Song category. While ‘All That Breathes’ has received nominations under the Best Documentary Feature and The Elephant Whispers under the Best Documentary Short Film category.

Out of this, there are high expectations from Naatu-Naatu Song as it has recently won the Golden Globe and Hollywood Critics Choice Awards.
