India vs Australia Indore Test: Australia set target of 76 runs; Lyon scalps 8

Australia have got a target of 76 runs in the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia. India were bundled out for 163 in the second innings at the Holkar Stadium in Indore. As soon as the Indian team was all out, the umpires raised the bails and declared stumps.

On Thursday, the second day of the match, the visiting team proceeded their first innings with a score of 156/4 and got all out for 197 runs. Thus the Aussies got a lead of 88 runs in the first innings. Apart from Ravindra Jadeja for India, Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav took three wickets each.

In the second innings, Cheteshwar Pujara scored his 35th half-century, while Shreyas Iyer 26, captain Rohit Sharma 12 and Virat Kohli were dismissed for 13 runs. Pujara’s efforts helped team India cut the deficit and give the home side some runs to play with.

For Australia, Nathan Lyon took 8 wickets. On the first day, India was dismissed for 109 runs in the first innings.
