Sensex climbs over 1000 points on last day of FY 23

Today, on the last day of Financial 2022-23, there was a strong buying seen in the stock market. On 31 March, the Sensex has jumped more than 1000 points. Reliance shares were among the top gainers. In the midst of good global signals, there has been a boom in the domestic market as well. BSE Sensex based on 30 shares has increased by 1,031.43 points or 1.78 percent to close at 58,991.52 points. The index had climbed up to 1,108.38 points in the day’s trade. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty also climbed 279.05 points, or 1.63 percent, to close at 17,359.75.

Reliance shares climb

Among the top companies, the maximum gain of four per cent was in Reliance Industries. Apart from this, Nestle, Infosys, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, Tata Consultancy Services, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra and Axis Bank were also among the major gainers. On the other hand, Sun Pharma, Asian Paints, Bajaj Finance and Titan declined.

Condition of the global markets

Talking about the global market, South Korea’s Kospi, Japan’s Nikkei, Hong Kong’s Hangseng and China’s Shanghai Composite closed with gains in other Asian markets. At the same time, European markets were trading with gains in the afternoon session. US markets closed in the green on Thursday.
