Uttarakhand weather update: Weather pattern changes in Uttarakhand

After three days of clear weather in Uttarakhand, the weather changed again on Thursday evening. There was snowfall in Yamunotri Dham and nearby areas. Whereas, it rained in Kharsali village, Phoolchatti, Narayan Puri, Jankichatti. Due to the changing weather pattern, the temperature dropped and the cold increased in the low-lying areas. On the other hand, there was rain along with thunderstorm in the plain areas including the capital Dehradun. There was hail along with rain in Mussoorie.

Bikram Singh, director of the Meteorological Department, said that there are chances of light to moderate rains in all the districts of Uttarakhand. While, there is a possibility of snowfall in the mountainous areas with a height of 3500 meters and above. Although today the day started with sunshine. But the weather changed late evening and rains were accompanied by strong gusts of wind in the capital. On March 31 too rains are expected in most parts of the sate.
