Roadways bus meets with accident in Ramnagar

A tragic accident took place in Ramnagar on Friday evening. In order to save an oncoming vehicle at a high speed on the new bridge built on the Kosi river, the roadways bus overturned and fell down from the bridge. The bus driver died in the accident, while six passengers including the conductor were injured. Those who were admitted to the government hospital by the police, where after treatment all were discharged.

As per the information, bus number UK-07PA-2487 from Haldwani to Ramnagar Depot was coming to Ramnagar. There were 16 passengers in the bus, all were coming to Ramnagar. As soon as the bus climbed over the new bridge built on Kosi river from Bal Sundari temple side, Tata 407 vehicle was coming at a high speed from the front and it was running in the wrong direction.

When the bus driver tried to save the vehicle, he collided with it and the bus overturned and fell down from the bridge. In the accident, the Tata 407 also overturned on the road and its driver fled from the spot.
