Storm uproots trees, damages electric poles in Lucknow

Power cuts was seen in many areas Lucknow due to the strong storm that hit on Saturday afternoon. The 20-minute storm uprooted dozens of electric poles. Some poles fell with wires, while some trees fell and power lines which hampered the power supply.

Electric poles were more damaged in Hussainganj, Gomti Nagar, Chowk, Thakurganj, Aminabad. A huge tree along the road from Parivartan Chowk to Kaiserbagh was uprooted and fell on the 33 KV line, due to which half a dozen electric poles were uprooted from the ground and the lines were damaged. Similarly, electricity lines near the court were also affected.
