Uttarakhand corona update: 5775 positive; 116 deaths

Situation marginally improves in plain districts; worrisome in the hills

Coronavirus infection continues to increase in Uttarakhand. In the last 24 hours, 5775 people have been found coronavirus infected in Uttarakhand. Apart from this, the sad thing is that in Uttarakhand, 116 people have died in the last 24 hours. With this, 277585 people have become positive so far in Uttarakhand. Of these, 188690 people have returned home after recovering.

25291 samples were sent to labs for testing while reports of  15591 samples is awaited. There are 454 containment zones in the state. Today, 516 vaccines sessions were held in which 32881 people were vaccinated.

Quarantine center of 200 beds handed over to the administration

Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj inaugurated the 200-bed Quarantine Center at Premnagar Ashram in Haridwar on Friday. The 100 rooms for the Quarantine Center were transferred to the district administration. There will also be an ambulance service to bring Covid patients to the Quarantine Center. Patients will also get free food facility in the center.

On the inauguration of the Quarantine Center, Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj said that the world is going through a crisis due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Everyone has to cooperate with each other in this crisis. He urged everyone to put on masks, follow physical distance. He said that vaccination should be done to protect them from covid. He said that vaccination center is being run in Premnagar Ashram. All people over 18 years of age reach the centers and vaccinate and participate in the fight against Covid.
