Key decisions of Uttarakhand cabinet meeting on July 7

The State Cabinet meeting was held at the Secretariat on Friday. Encroachment on government land is a cognizable and non-bailable offense ordinance, approved by the cabinet. Under this, now seven to 10 years imprisonment can be given on encroachment. Other matters which were approved by the cabinet are as follows:

  • Under the tourism department, George Everest State Mussoorie will be given on PPP mode. Will be given on lease for 15 years, there will be an income of 60 crores.
  • In the School Education Department, 2364 posts in the deceased cadre will be filled through outsource.
  • The plan to provide three gas cylinders free of cost to BPL families will continue.
  • Under alternative energy, some subjects of the Electricity Regulatory Commission will be kept in the Vidhansabha.
  • The employees of the Small Savings Scheme under the Finance Department will be adjusted in the Finance Department. 31 employees will be accommodated.
  • Rules will be made for promotion to the posts of Assistant Accounts Officer. Promotion will be done under this across the state.
  • Cabinet approved the One Time Settlement 2023-24 scheme in the Finance Department.
  • Appellate Bench constituted in the Goods and Services Tax in the state of Uttarakhand.
  • The subject of road widening in the Aadhat Bazar area  of Dehradun. Government land at Brahmanwala was given to MDDA for market shifting.
  • Policy made for the rehabilitation of the affected people of the Aadhat Bazar under the housing department.
  • Approval given for amendment in Uttarakhand Clinical Establishment Act.
  • Hospitals with less than 50 beds will be given exemption in registration fee.
  • Gap funding in National Natural Agriculture Scheme approved for Mukhyamantri Pratikra Krishi Yojana.
  • Approval for Namami Gange Prakritik Krishi Yojana to promote natural farming in a five km corridor along the banks of the Ganga.
  • Business hotel will now be built in PPP mode at Patel Nagar headquarter of tourism department.
  • Amendment in the rules and regulations of the Transport Department.
  • Approval for creation of post in the structure of Town and Country Planning Department.
  • The posts of Gram Panchayat officers have been increased in Udham Singh Nagar.
  • Cash Management Cell has been created in the Finance Department, 11 posts have been approved.
  • Now approval of new rules to bring affordable, housing and sports activities.
  • Approval of the Mental Health Care Act, now the standards have been fixed, the de-addiction center will be scrutinized.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to send proposals to the Center for release of funds by fulfilling the utilization certificates and other requirements of centrally funded schemes. He said that complete details should also be given of the schemes with 90 percent central share which are pending since before the year 2020.

The Chief Minister has also given instructions for speedy action to bring all the Gram Panchayats in the ODF Plus category. On Thursday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the plans of the Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department in the Secretariat regarding the achievement of the goal of making Uttarakhand a strong state by 2025. During this, he reviewed the roadmap of short, medium and long term plans prepared by the departments.

Reviewing the Rural Development Department, apart from promoting the local products of Uttarakhand, he directed to make better arrangements for the marketing of the products and also emphasized on their online marketing. The CM said that all necessary arrangements should be made for the supply of the products which are in high demand.
