8 dead in vehicle accident in Nainital

A major road accident took place this morning in Nainital, Uttarakhand. A taxi vehicle fell into a deep gorge on the Chheerakhan-Reethasahib motor road in Okhalkanda block of Nainital. Eight people have reportedly died in the accident. Also two people have been seriously injured. The villagers took the injured out of the gorge and took them to the road with great difficulty. There were 10 people in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

As per reports, the acident took place at 8 am on Friday, a taxi vehicle fell into a 500 meter deep gorge. There were 11 passengers in the vehicle, out of which 8 passengers died, while 2 people have been referred to Haldwani Sushila Tiwari Hospital in critical condition.
