Now land registry can be done virtually in Uttarakhand, proposal passed in cabinet meeting

14 important proposals were approved today in the cabinet meeting of Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami led state government in Uttarakhand. Among these passed proposals, the proposal related to land registry is much discussed. Under this proposal, if a person is unable to come personally to the registry office during land registry in Uttarakhand, then they will be able to participate in the virtual registry. With this, people living outside Uttarakhand will also be able to get its benefit.

Many people of Uttarakhand live in other states. Many times they have to come to Uttarakhand to buy and sell land. Keeping all these things in mind, the state government has decided in the cabinet meeting that now if someone wants to buy or sell land in all the places of Uttarakhand, then it will not be necessary for that person to be personally present in the registry office.

In such a situation, it often took time for people to deal with land related matters. Under this rule, information will have to be given to the registrar office a few days before the registration that the concerned person will join the online registry. In such a situation, through a virtual platform, the Registrar will answer questions from that person and certify whether the person’s land can be bought or sold or not. Even after connecting online, it will be completely verified whether the person connected online is genuine or not. Its papers will be studied and other checks will be done including that of the guarantor.
