Weather changes in Uttarakhand; season’s first snowfall in Chakrata

The weather has changed in Uttarakhand today. There was snowfall in Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham and nearby areas in the early morning and rain in Barkot tehsil area. At the same time, there was light fog at many places in the plains. There is mild sunshine in the queen of hills Mussoorie, Dhanaulti and Kempty. In Dehradun there was cloud cover throughout the day with light intermittent drizzle in some places, but due to cold winds the temperature dropped. Meanwhile, the first snowfall of the season occurred in Lokhandi of Chakrata. Now due to snowfall, a surge of tourists is also expected.

There is a possibility of heavy rain and snowfall in the higher reaches of the state from Wednesday. For this, an orange alert has been issued by the Meteorological Center.

The Meteorological Center has predicted rain and snowfall in areas at an altitude of more than 2500 meters. Talking about the temperature, the maximum temperature of Doon is expected to be 17 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be 08 degrees. There is a forecast of rains on 1st February as well.
