Uttarakhand weather update: Yellow alert issued for 5 districts

There are chances of inclement weather in some areas of five districts of the state today (Friday, April 12). A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Center for strong thunder and lightning in some areas of Uttarkashi, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts.

The changing weather in the hilly areas is not showing any significant effect on the plains. Due to the maximum temperature being higher than normal in the plains, the heat has started increasing. On the other hand, the weather is likely to change across the state by April 15.

According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Center, a yellow alert has been issued in the hilly districts for April 13. There is a possibility of hailstorm with gusty winds across the state on April 14. Orange alert has been issued for this. A yellow alert has been issued for bad weather in all the districts across the state the next day also.
