Landslide occurred near Kali Mandir Tunnel in Haridwar, rail traffic halted

There has been a landslide from the hill near the Kali temple in Haridwar. Debris has fallen on the railway track from the hill. Big stones have accumulated on the railway track, breaking the iron nets. The operation of trains has been affected due to the falling of stones.

Due to this, many trains have been stopped at the railway station. This landslide has happened today on Monday, 8 September morning. This has affected the rail traffic. A few days ago also debris had come at the same place. Even then the rail traffic was affected.

After this incident, the movement of trains on Haridwar-Dehradun and Haridwar-Rishikesh rail route has come to a complete halt. Railway and district administration officials have reached the spot. The work of removing debris from the track has been started. Passengers have to wait at the station itself. Officials have assured that the situation will be normal soon.
