Chopra till recently worked with German biomechanics expert Klaus Bartonitz, who was also playing the role of his coach. Chopra, who won gold at the Tokyo Olympics and silver at the Paris Olympics, said that he was a big fan of Železný since his early days and used to watch his videos to hone his skills.

Chopra said, “I have been a fan of Jan’s technique and accuracy since the beginning. I spent a lot of time watching his videos. He was at the top of the sport for so many years. His company is very important to me because we both have similar javelin throwing styles and he has a lot of experience. It is an honor to have him with me as I move to the next stage in my career. I am very excited to work with him. ”

Chopra has not yet been able to throw the javelin up to 90 meters but he is determined to achieve this figure in which Železný’s experience can be useful. Železný expressed happiness over being appointed as Chopra’s coach and said that he was eager to coach the Indian star from the beginning as he still has a lot of potential.
