Heavy rain hits Tehri: River erosion causes house collapses and deaths

Heavy rains are wreaking havoc on people in Tehri district, Uttarakhand. Three houses built on the banks of the Balganga river near Budha Kedar collapsed like a pack of cards in no time. People saved their lives by running away from the spot. People are terrified due to the rising water level of the Balganga.

Balganga river is overflowing due to heavy rains in Tehri district. Incidents of soil erosion have increased due to the rising water level of the Balganga river. House collapsed into the river

Erosion of the Balganga river was continuing under the houses since yesterday. Today, the foundation of the houses shook due to the erosion of the river and the house collapsed. On the other hand, the rain had caused heavy destruction in the Binaykhal area of ​​​​Balganga tehsil yesterday. Where many parts of the Binaykhal Jakhana motor road have been damaged by the river.

Mother and daughter died due to house collapse

A house collapsed due to landslide caused by heavy rain last night in Tauli village of Ghansali in Tehri. The mother and daughter sleeping in the house died after being buried under the debris. After which, the relief rescue team reached the spot after getting the information and removed both the bodies from the debris and sent them to the district hospital for post-mortem. There is mourning in the village after the incident.
