1,01,175.33 crore budget passed in Uttarakhand assembly

The state budget presented in the assembly was passed on Saturday. There was no question hour on Saturday as it was an effective day. The assembly passed the budget of Rs 1,01,175.33 crore for the financial year 2025-26. On the fifth day of the assembly session, the Appropriation Bill was passed along with the department-wise budget.

The Pushkar Singh Dhami government focusing on infrastructure development along with satisfying all sections in the silver jubilee year of the formation of the state of Uttarakhand. Rs 14,763 crore will be spent on construction works. For the first time in the financial year 2025-26, the state budget has crossed the amount of one lakh crore.

Giving priority to the unprivileged, youth, Annadaata (farmers) and Women (Nari) i.e. GYAN, an amount of more than five thousand crore rupees has been arranged for their welfare schemes. After focusing on winter tourism last year, this year, moving forward on spiritual tourism, an amount of 168 crore has been kept for the Uttarakhand Infrastructure and Investment Development Board for the development of the religious cities of Haridwar-Rishikesh.
