Chardham Yatra 2023: Read new registration update
Local people of the state have been exempted from compulsory registration in Chardham Yatra 2023. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took this decision in a high-level meeting. CM Dhami said that no pilgrim coming from other states in Uttarakhand will be denied darshan, whether they have registered or not. He said that the hotels, guest houses and homestays where bookings have been made, those devotees will not be stopped from darshan. They will be registered there, offline.
Chardham Teerth Purohit Mahapanchayat President Suresh Semwal and General Secretary Dr. Brijesh Sati raised these three major issues in the talks held with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at the secretariat on Monday. After which CM Dhami took these decisions in the meeting.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that all preparations should be completed on time for an orderly, smooth and safe Chardham Yatra. Devotees coming to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand should also visit other major religious and tourist places of the state along with the Chardham Yatra, for this a wide publicity should be done about the major religious and tourist places of the state. For this, awareness campaign should be conducted by the tourism, police and transport department through various mediums.

Vocal for Local appeal
To promote Vocal for Local, the Prime Minister has appealed to the devotees to spend 05 percent of their travel expenses on local products. In order to promote local products in the state, some products should be promoted on a large scale. Local products should also be kept in GMVN. Information about the local products of the state should be made available to the general public. Proper arrangements for crash barriers should be made on Chardham Yatra routes.
The Chief Minister said that proper arrangements should be made by the police for crowd management for the upcoming Chardham Yatra. Whatever necessary information is to be taken from the devotees, should be taken only once at the entry point of the state. It should be ensured that the devotees coming to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand do not face any problem. Those departments from which personnel are on duty for Chardham Yatra, the personnel who want to voluntarily go on Chardham duty should be given first priority. Whatever health camps are being organized on Chardham Yatra, they should be organized in a systematic manner. Special care should be taken of the fitness of the vehicles coming on the Chardham Yatra, for this coordination should be done with other states as well.
