Doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham open for Chardham Yatra 2025
The doors of the world famous Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham were opened for devotees on the auspicious festival of Akshaya Tritiya. The doors of Gangotri Dham were opened for the devotees at 10:30 am on Wednesday, April 30. The first prayer was performed in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On the occasion of the opening of the doors, the entire Gangotri Dham reverberated with the chants of Maa Ganga. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Gangotri Dham. The Char Dham Yatra 2025 commenced as soon as the doors of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham opened.
On the occasion of the opening of the doors on Wednesday, devotees from different states of the country reached Gangotri. On this occasion, the Gangotri temple complex was decorated with about 15 quintals of flowers. Now devotees will be able to visit Maa Ganga in Gangotri Dham for six months.
Extensive arrangements have been made for the safety of pilgrims. Anti-terrorism squad, paramilitary forces and police personnel will keep an eye on every inch. For the safety of the passengers, 10 companies of paramilitary, 17 companies of PAC as well as anti-terrorism squad will be deployed at 10 places. SDRF teams will be deployed at 65 places. For the safety of the passengers, 10 companies of paramilitary force are being provided by the central government which will be available soon. At the same time, 17 companies of PAC and 6000 policemen have been deployed in the Chardham Yatra. The entire Yatra route will be covered by drones. Security and traffic will be monitored on the Yatra route through 2000 CCTV cameras.
