Heavy rainfall alert in next 24 hours in Uttarakhand; CM appeals to remain vigilant

The Meteorological Department in Uttarakhand has predicted excessive rainfall in the hilly and some plain areas within the next 24 hours. In view of the warning, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has appealed to the people of the state to be vigilant. He said that people should avoid unnecessary travel and follow the guidelines issued by the administration.
The Chief Minister has especially requested the candidates appearing for the PCS examination to leave for the examination center before time. He said that both your safety and examination are important for us.
The CM informed that the state government is constantly monitoring the weather conditions and all necessary assistance is being provided to the local administration. Appealing to the public to be patient and vigilant, he said that the administration is fully prepared in the event of a disaster.
In many areas of the state, incidents of landslides and traffic blockages are being reported due to incessant rains. In such a situation, people have been urged to contact the administration in case of any emergency.
