Heli services to these hill stations in Uttarakhand begins
The Uttarakhand government is laying special emphasis on increasing heli connectivity in the state. In this sequence, air service is going to start for three places in the state before the State Foundation Day. Under this, heli service from Delhi to Pithoragarh, Dehradun to Joshiyara (Uttarkashi) and Dehradun to Gauchar (Chamoli) is going to start. As per the scheduled program, a program will be organized for the launch of all three heli services on November 7. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will participate virtually in the program.
Heli service started for three hill stations
The exercise to operate aircraft from Pithoragarh to Delhi was going on for a long time. In such a situation, after the successful landing of the aircraft at Naini Saini Airport in Pithoragarh, now regular air service will start from today Thursday 7 November 2024. A 42-seater aircraft will be operated between Delhi and Pithoragarh through Alliance Air. After the start of this air service, not only will the 16-hour journey be reduced to a few hours, but it will also promote tourism. Along with this, tourists will be able to visit Adi Kailash and Om Parvat through air service.
The Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority has completed preparations for helicopter service from three places, Delhi to Pithoragarh air service, Dehradun to Joshiada (Uttarkashi) and Dehradun to Gauchar (Chamoli). Heli service will be launched today on November 7 from Sahastradhara heliport to Gauchar and Joshiyara. Last month Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the passenger terminal building at Sahastradhara heliport. During that time the CM had announced to start heli service for Gauchar and Joshiyara soon.
Dehradun-Gauchar Helicopter Service
This service will take about 50 minutes. This helicopter will depart from Sahastradhara helipad in Dehradun for Gauchar at 09:30 am and will return from Gauchar to Sahastradhara at 10:40 pm. This service of Pawan Hans will be available 06 days a week from Monday to Saturday. Till 20 November 2024, its one-way fare per person will be Rs 3000 and after that it will be Rs 3600 per person.
Dehradun-Joshiyara Heli Service
This service will take about 40 minutes. From Dehradun, this helicopter will depart for Joshiyara at 12:00 noon and will return from Joshiyara to Sahastradhara helipad at 01:00 pm. This service of Pawan Hans will be available 06 days a week from Monday to Saturday. Till 20 November 2024, its one-way fare per person will be Rs 3000 and after that it will be Rs 3300 per person. Delhi-Naini Saini (Pithoragarh) Air Service
This service will be provided through ‘Alliance Air’ aircraft. This service will operate 03 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). This air journey from Delhi to Pithoragarh will take about 1 hour 25 minutes. This aircraft will depart from Delhi for Pithoragarh at 09:20 am and will return from Pithoragarh to Delhi at 11:15 am. Its fare has been fixed at Rs 2499 per person till 14 November 2024, while from November 16, the fare from Delhi to Pithoragarh has been fixed at Rs 6999 and the fare from Pithoragarh to Delhi has been fixed at Rs 7447 per person.
