Process begins to compensate families of those who died due to Corona
The process of giving compensation to the families of the people who died due to corona in Uttarakhand has started. In this sequence, the District Magistrate of Dehradun has received a list of 861 deceased whose families are to be compensated.
According to the guidelines of the Supreme Court and the Ministry of Health, a compensation of Rs 50,000 is to be given to the next of kin of the deceased. Regarding this, the District Magistrate had called for a list of deaths from Corona from the Chief Medical Officer.
So that the list can be sent to the government. The Chief Medical Officer has provided a list of 861 names to District Magistrate Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar. However, the problem with this is that there is no clear information about the relatives of the 71 deceased. Hence, it is not possible to contact them.
According to District Magistrate Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, in the list received from the Chief Medical Officer, contact has been made with the relatives of 790 deceased. The relatives of all the deceased will get compensation only when their clear information is received. He has appealed to the relatives of those who succumbed to the virus to provide their clear information to the District Disaster Management Office located at the Collectorate or to their Tehsil office at the earliest.
While summoning the list of the deceased, the District Magistrate had also made it clear that the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) would also give an affidavit to the effect that no person was found to have died of corona other than the information collected. Along with this, a warning was also issued that action under the Epidemic Act and Disaster Management Act will be implemented against the officers and establishments who do not follow the order. Because all government/private hospitals also had to cooperate in giving information.
