Suggestions can be given on the tariff proposal of UPCL’s new electricity rates till February 15. UPCL management has issued a notice regarding this and has made available a copy of the tariff proposal in all its concerned offices, which can be viewed free of cost. Suggestions can be sent to the Regulatory Commission and UPCL.
According to the information issued by UPCL, it has proposed a 12.01 percent increase in the tariff proposals.
According to the UPCL management, there is a proposal to increase the energy charge of BPL consumers by five percent, while no change has been sought in the fixed charge. An average increase of 11.92 percent has been proposed in all the slabs of other domestic category.
An average increase of 12.66 percent in non-domestic category tariff, 13.14 percent in single point bulk supply, 12.54 percent in government public utility, 5 percent in private tube well category, 11.91 percent in industry, 12.56 percent in mixed load tariff, 13.54 percent in railway traction tariff, 5% increase in miscellaneous charges has been proposed.
You can send your suggestions on tariff till 15 February to Regulatory Commission Office, Near ISBT, Post Office Majra, Dehradun. You can also put your suggestions in the drop box kept in every sub-station of UPCL. Regulatory Commission will take the final decision on this tariff after public hearing, the rates of which will be applicable from 1 April 2025.
