Uttarakhand weather update: Yellow alert for rains in these districts on Sep 28

The weather has changed once again in Uttarakhand. Due to the increase in monsoon activity again, clouds are hovering in most areas and showers are also continuing. However, in the plains, the sun is also shining amidst partial clouds. In the last two days, heavy rains have been occurring intermittently in most areas.

According to the Meteorological Center, there are chances of partial clouds in some places in the state even today. There may be heavy rains with thunder and lightning in Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts, for which a yellow alert has been issued. After this, the sequence of rain is expected to remain slow for a few days. Monsoon may leave Uttarakhand around October 3.

Temperature reached below normal

Clouds were hovering in Doon on Friday morning and showers occurred at some places. However, after this, the game of hide and seek between sun and clouds continued. Even after noon, light drizzle continued at some places. Apart from this, light rain was recorded in the surrounding mountainous regions along with the presence of clouds. Along with this, the mercury has also dropped below normal.

The maximum temperature in most areas including Dehradun is 30 degrees Celsius or below. However, the minimum temperature remains above normal. Chill is being felt in the morning and evening in the mountainous regions.

According to the Meteorological Department, the sequence of rain may slow down in the next few days. There is a possibility of light rain with partial cloud cover in most areas.
