Vanessa Ponce De León crowned Miss World 2018
This year’s prestigious Miss World competition was held in Sanya city of China on Saturday. In this Vanessa Ponce de León of Mexico won the Miss World 2018 title. Leone left behind 118 competitors. First runner up was Miss Thailand, Nikolayne Limonsukan. India’s Anukreethy Vas reached the top 30 could not make it in the top 12.
Miss World 2017 Manushi Chillar crowned last year Vanessa. Born on March 7, 1992, Vanessa is a full time model. She is the first Mexican, to win the title.
In Miss World 2018, India’s representation was done by Anukreethy Vas. She is a resident of Tamil Nadu. In the top 30 of Miss World 2018, the beauty queens of the countries which made the place were India, Chile, France, Bangladesh, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Nepal, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Uganda, America, Venezuela and Vietnam.
In 2017, Manushi was the first Miss World winner from India in 17 years. Before that, Priyanka Chopra had won Miss World title in 2000. The Miss World program in India was seen on Sunday Night from 4.30 pm on Romedy Now Channel. Apart from this, its live streaming was also seen on the Miss World 2018 YouTube channel.
